Is anybody interested in going to the Dolomites in early July 2011, budget permitting?

Yes I would love to go. During the club trip to lake Garda I drove up for a walk one day and would love to go back. The area was virtually deserted at that time in September, would September be suitable alternative?

Just saw your dolomite enquiry ... FYI few ideas: MCI meet this year is in val bregalia but Italian side... this is fairly near the dolomites. Its first 2 weeks in July and for walkers , climbers and alpinists , camp, B&B or hotel , courses or just come along and meet other like minded walkers etc. Also Lonely Plannet Walks in Italy book has excellent long walk which traverses all the dolomite area from just east of Brenner pass to near Slovenian border hut to hut .. I did it iwith few others n start sept 2007 and was brillaint/excellent. Gerry Kenny North East/ Wee Binnians 0868370626
